About the HBA
The Home Builders Association of West Florida (HBA) is a dynamic, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to ensuring safe, affordable housing for the people of Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties while protecting and representing its members so their businesses can grow and prosper in a free market economy.
Founded in 1950, the Pensacola-based HBA has more than 400-plus corporate members which represent 10,329 employees. The HBA’s seeks ways to control mandated costs, taxes and regulations that burden businesses. But given the challenges the construction industry faces in the legislative, legal and regulatory arenas, the HBA’s success depends its members.
The HBA employs a professional staff of three, and has 50 members serving on its Board of Directors, which elects the association’s eight Senior Officers and helps set the association’s agenda.
Consumer-oriented events such as the Parade of Homes and Home and Product Expo are always fun-filled affairs that bring awareness to the housing industry. The Parade of Homes enables the public to view the latest amenities and new home designs. The popular Home & Product Expo, which is one of the largest tradeshows in Northwest Florida, attracts thousands of attendees each year.
